Nitschke urges open mind on euthanasia bill
Euthanasia advocate doctor Philip Nitschke is urging Tasmania's Upper House MPs to open their minds to what he calls progressive legislation.
Dr Nitschke says there are parallels between Tasmania's pending Dying with Dignity Bill and the same sex marriage legislation which was voted down in the Upper House last week.
Speaking after addressing an anaesthetists conference in Hobart, he said Tasmania had an opportunity to lead the country. more
