Peter Singer's Expedient Hypocrisy


If you ever wanted an example of Peter Singer's expediency, read this. Lots of hand-wringing about how the poor have less dignity than the rest of us, etc., etc. Would that Singer would look this favorably on all those children with disabilities he thinks should be killed because of their poor quality of life.
Singer addresses idea of donating to those in need
Bioethics professor Peter Singer and GiveWell.org co-founder Holden Karnofsky spoke about global poverty in a talk sponsored by the American Whig-Cliosophic Society and the Princeton chapter of Giving What We Can on Tuesday.
Singer, who is a member of Giving What We Can, addressed the ethical aspects of donating money to those who are living in poverty by comparing the issue to saving a child from drowning in a pond. more
